SSD caddy

Can anyone advise a good/cheap place to get a caddy (or combination of factors/adaptors) to mount a 2.5" sdd in a dell optiplex mini tower?
Standard 3.5" HDD has a blue plastic caddy DN8MY so to add the extra sdd it look like I need the equivalent of one of those plus an adaptor or similar.
Ta.

I used a cheap plastic thing to mount an SSD in my Dell desktop.

Caddy good - cabling may be a bit more of a hitch as often PCs not always built to allow expansion.
Always an opportunity to shift the dust when you pop the case to check.0 -
I am guilty of not using a caddy for mine. It has a space to screw it to the side wall of the case (just big enough for an SSD), but I had to remove it a while ago for something or other. Rather than reseat it on the side wall, I just simply hooked it up and it now lives on the floor of the case. Haven't had any issues yet.0

I cheated and 3D printed mine

Not good practice but I have had mine cable tied to the internal HDD mounting rails and it has been fine for the past couple of years.bingo_bango wrote: »I am guilty of not using a caddy for mine. Glomm'n'doom that's good, the sort of thing I am looking for! Well half of it anyway! All I now need is the standard 3.5" caddy.
Cables not a problem, and yes mine just sits on the bottom at present.....
So does anyone know of a place (good'n'cheap) to get a standard caddy to hold that adaptor...like the blue plastic bit that holds in the HDD?0 -
More progress found. Dn8my on eBay from luka_391 for tenner. These are a lot for a bit of plastic but often £20 to 40 and I cannot see how that is justified!
Could have found it for less from China but fast UK delivery!
Reasonably pleased!

As with a few posters, mine just hangs there. The box never gets moved and so far no problems. :cool:0

Another vote for / anecdote about leaving it loose, blu-tacking it to the internals, or adhesive taping it to the framework.
In a desktop, it won't get moved, and it has no moving parts to be affected by its attitude or orientation.0 -
I agree about what is aid about 'loose' fitting but nester to have it fixed and reduce the possibility of it hitting something more delicate than itself if the PC is moved!0
