United new "basic economy" fare

This surprises me greatly and worries me that the other airlines will follow suit, what with BA getting rid of everything that was beneficial for economy class and not making the cost of flights any less.

Its somewhat ironic that they are going this way as Ryanair have gotten way better with customer service and also now allow a second bag (which is one of the reasons i have returned to them).

    If you don't like it you can always stay at home. Or even fly in Business class.

    BA prices have came down dramatically BTW. Their Black Friday Sale had rtns + 2 night hotel to Europe for £99

    Fixed that! :)

    They regularly have great weekend and last minute deals from London, which is great if you live in the South East, but not generally viable from the regions.
