Can't restore iPhone or bring out of recovery mode. Help?

Basically i wanted to restore to an iTunes backup.

I tried one only to be told it was corrupt or my iPhone wasn't compatible. I made this backup yesterday. The phone is the same & the iOS version is the same.

But i made 2 backups, so i tried the other one & it got as far as the "1 minute remaining", only for 1 minute to be over 15 minutes & still no progress.

So i thought about entering it into DFU / recovery mode. I tried doing a restore there but i get an error 14 saying it can't be restored

and now i can't exit recovery mode. All i have on the screen is a cable pointing towards iTunes.

I've tried 2 programs that supposedly exit this recovery mode but neither worked.

Any help?
