Strengthen my DAB Signal

I have just installed a new Digital Radio Stereo into my car, Halfords also installed a digital radio antenna on my windscreen.
It works fine in town and most areas, however around where I live, in the countryside, the signal keeps dropping out.
I was wondering if there was a quick fix way to boost the strength of my antenna, as I know that other cars have not experienced this problem in this area.
Any ideas would be much appreciated!
Thank you

Assuming the Halfords installer has connected it up correctly, with 12V power to the aerial amplifier if it has one:
If you have any accessories such as USB power supplies or satnav power supplies - e.g. those that plug into a cig lighter socket - try unplugging them temporarily to see if things improve. Many of these radiate a lot of RF interference which can harm DAB reception.0 -
Those internal amplified antennas have always been bobbins. Get an external one.0

I found the windscreen antennas were hopeless unless in a strong signal area, they should have fitted a proper beesting aerial

I've got no problem with my glass mounted aerial.
Check if the aerial is powered by the head unit and if so, check that the antenna power is turned ON in the head unit settings.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0 -
I don't know if it's a quick fix, but an external aerial should make a huge difference. I fitted a glass mount one to the rear screen of my car and the reception is excellent.
Have a look at this site...
