Advice please regarding court order and regarding council parking fine

The story is as follows. My family including me my brother and my sister all own my late mothers vehicle when she passed away we all use it a frequently as each other. The vehicle is registered in the ****** family trust at my address the **** representing our surname. There seems to have been a parking ticket issued on the vehicle from Bradford Council some while ago which I was unaware of I know I should have received letters but have been ill and am still very ill awaiting an operation so some thing were put on the back burner
So a court official came looking for the ****** family trust to recover the money but I was out he seems to think it's my responsibility only even though I'm not the sole owner of the vehicle. 3 of us are. So who can the bailiff seize goods from. Me. Or just goods belonging to the ****** family trust as that's the name the warrant and debt is in any advice would be great thanks
Oh and I'm on sickness benefits as myself and partner are classed as vulnerable due to our health issues. Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid this forum only really helps out with Private Parking, rather than Council ones issued under the Highways Act.
Your best bet is the PePiPoo forums, where they have a decent success rate, although at this late stage you might be as well starting out by contacting the council and explaining the situation to them without any histrionics, and offering to pay the original fine to cancel the court action.0 -
You can also get help in dealing with bailiffs by making contact with 'Bailiff Advice Online'. Sheila, who provides this excellent service, has an extremely good reputation for assisting people with bailiff issues.
Calls and the email enquiry service are free.

HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

There will of been quite a long process gone by to get to this stage as obviously a charge certificate (warrant) has been issued against the RK of the car by the Northampton Court Traffic Enforcement Centre (TEC) which handles all local authority PCNs.
You could try asking for the charge certificate to be revoked on the grounds that you have no knowledge of the PCN as you hadn't received the Notice To Owner (NTK). It MAY be possible to re-wind the process back to the NTK stage but you would need to contact the TEC directly. Try calling 0300 123 1059 for further advice on the process.
While the charge certificate remains live, the process will continue and bailiffs can remove goods from the RK's address so you need to act quickly. It's the responsibility of the registered keeper named on the V5 for parking fines who isn't necessarily the owner of the vehicle.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
If bailiffs are involved, apart from contacting bailiffadviceonline as advised in #3 take some obvious precautions
Eg Move your car and fit a chain on the door and never remove it if a bailiff turns up again0
