Many years ago I bought some kids stuff from this company and stupidly used one of my primary email addresses.

The kids have grown and no more was ever thought of this company until recently when they started sending me marketing emails out of the Blue.

I have clicked every unsubscribe link over and over, I have emailed their customer service and received a reply assuring me they would remove me from their mailing list.

I have dropped 'hints' all over their social media...

And STILL they come every couple of days.

Now I know its just an email every now and then, but it annoys me that companies (and there are many, many more) one day say to themselves, sales of our overpriced tat are a bit slow, in desperation lets spam everyone we know from the beginning of time, ignore their preferences and unsubscribes and keep doing it. Do they think this ever wins business?

Of course these days I only use disposable addresses even for the largest of companies, but who knew 10 years ago?

It took me over 6 months to unsubscribe from La Redoute despite the many emails I received assuring me this was all in hand. When I took to Facebook to try and speed things up it appeared that many others had the same problem; not, therefore, a simple glitch with my address.
I wonder if the 2 firms are connected?

They are indeed - Vertbaudet, La Redoute, and Daxon.

I've received two texts from LR in the past week, both in the middle of the night

So lets see if they do it. Name and shame I say!

They alsosell yourdetails on to other companies too. I used a fake name to use a discount code and got junk mail through the post from Ovo Energy with that name on.

and so far it's seemed to do the trick..

That has to be one of the most DODGY looking websites! did you really grant it permission to access your accounts?
