Of course a daily read of this sub-forum will give you some insight (ignoring some of the banter) and then following some of the links posted. I mean no offence with the word "dummies" - it's simply the titles of the various online books and courses. Please scroll down and look for what you want: start small and take it one piece at a time.
After a career in motor engineering, I became disabled but attended a disability college and learned computing in my late 50's. I certainly recall the initial fear of the Unknown, but I looked on computers as a tool. I eventually began building desktops, now at 71 I have a grandson who is a network engineer and talks a language I no longer understand!
Good luck, you are obviously intelligent and will have no real problems, I believe.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
