Neighbor's damp affecting our house

Check the gutters and drainpipes when it rains..if they are blocked the rainwater will run along the wall and cause damp.. if not might be the roof..“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”

Is it a bedroom? Bathroom?
Is the damp worse at the top (ie originating above)?
Have you or anyone been up on the roof (yours or theirs)?
It could be missing tiles/slates letting rain in, or as suggested it could be a blocked/overflowing gutter/drainpipe.
Or it could be defective flashing if there is a valley betwen the two roofs.
I'd get someone up to take a look as diagnosing the exact problem is obviously the first step to fixing it.0
