Torquay

Booked in a hotel in Torquay for August. Any recommendations for nice/special restaurants, especially waterfront? It's my birthday the day after we (me and me ma) get there so want to do a bit of style!! Thanx

  • Hi

If you are in Torquay over a weekend you should book Different Corners in Babbacombe its the best food in the bay and reasonably priced £20 for three courses,
They cook everything from fresh and you can tell!
They only open saturday night and are always full so book up as soon as you can 01803 323 555 they open all days except tuesday and sat night

Have a good holiday its lovely here

Different Corners is more of a cafe than a restaurant, which is fine, but if you want something else try Al-Beb a Morrocan restaurant in Torwood St. (Tel 01803 211753). The food is really nice and it is done out great and the owners are really freindly.Sometimes they have a belly dancer etc.

Be careful as there are alot of crap eating places in Torquay especially around the harbour. Probably because of the passing trade.

  • the elephant restaurant is great will be there next week.
The best work is the cheapest as the quality remains long after the price is forgotten
