Mobility scooter

Advice please. Bought a scooter from a company for £350 brand new. It was advertised as 4 mph and able to travel up to 8mph on full battery. within a few months it was playing up and not working properly. One day it broke down on way to shops. I contacted the company first I had to send back the battery, that came back ok so they sent someone to fix it but they had wrong part so had to wait again and after three months it was eventually fixed, I spoke to the two engineers that came out and they both said that this particular model was always having issues and that my motor had always been faulty. So not only had I had no scooter for three months but it hadn't been working properly since I had it!! Within a week of having it fixed it still wasn't working properly. The battery wasn't fully charging and so it only lasted a mile or two and it definetly wasn't 4 miles per hour. When I went away I hired a scooter that was 4 miles per hour and compared to mine it was ridiculously fast and I used it all day and still had battery life, it made me realise mine was definetely not fit for purpose. I have now had the scooter over a year so when I write to them and asked for a refund or be given an upgraded scooter they said no as its was out of warranty. I said about the consumer act 2015 but they still
refused. I spoke to trading standards and they advised me to take photos and write again and say you'll get an independent engineer out and they'll have to pay for it if shows in my favour. They still haven't replied or agreed to refund so now I don't know what to do! Where do I get independent engineer who's not gonna charge me a fortune and is it best to do that before i think about taking it to
Court?

You need the report to get anywhere first.
The report needs to state its faulty from the start eg a faulty connection or component not soldered correctly.
Need to search for someone who would fix scooters amd ask them if they would provide a report.0
