Is Visa Electron still useful for anything?

I got one of these for Ryanair back in the day - is there any point in still having it?

    I don't think it even exists now - I think all existing Electron cards are just treated as Visa Debit Full Auth.

    They'll still work almost everywhere that accepts Visa - the main exclusions are on board trains or at tolls.

    I still have an Electron card that I too got for Ryanair. I once used it to pay the grand total of 4p for two return flights from London to Belfast!

    However, I am not sure if there are any benefits to the card over others anymore.

    No, it's not really useful for anything particular.
    Halifax/BOS still renew them for their Easycash account holders.
