Is 2mb Broadband good to stream FreeView?

I too have a slow broadband (though my freeview reception is fine). Trying to stream catchup TV is a bit of a pain - lot of buffering, etc. When I have to do it, it works okay on tablet - I guess it asks for a lower-resolution version or something.
For BBC stuff, you can use get_iplayer to download the content to local disk, and then watch it from there, which gets round bandwidth problems.
I do also record freeview content, and have noticed that different channels broadcast with quite different bitrates (compression). An hour of BBC is typically quite a bit bigger than an hour of other channels, particularly the less mainstream ones. If the same goes for streaming, it might depend on which channels you watch.0 -
I am using freeview-tv.com0

Have you tried using an arial booster such as
