As hoohoo said Equita seem to send out very scary letters but do little else. Equita actually own ParkingEye. They are the same company.

I would send the same email again and be prepared for them to bombard you with threats in the hope you will cave in.

both parking eye and equita are part of the capita group of companies

you have sent your letter , you can do no more , if they are adament that they would win the case , they would have started court a long time ago

PS: the parking charge (as per the signage) was £100 , not £145 ,

you told them at the beginning that you had a valid reason not to pay , they should have instigated court action at that point instead of wasting money with debt collectors

unless the signage clearly stated that there was no grace period(s) on this site , then the BPA state they exist .

    Dear Equita,

I wish to raise a complaint. Please post me your complaint handling procedure and a copy of the Credit Services Association code of practice and consider this as stage 1 of the complaints process.

Your letter of xx/xx/xxxx failed to raise any of the points raised in my email of xx/xx/xxxx. I understand this is a violation of the CSA code of practice and will further advise once you have sent me a reference copy.

Be strong, don't cave in and fill up their filthy bank account, let them die.
PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue.
