Refused AIP at Nationwide but have one from NatWest and Halifax

Thank you I have signed up and I have a fair score. With 2 negatives one because we had a credit card in the last 6 months the other being because accounts average age is 31months. So nothing too alarming.
Lenders don't use the scores or negatives as reported by the CRA's. They analyse the data in detail and bench mark this against their own internal criteria.0 -
Will keep everything crossed for you. Let us know how you get on.
Honestly though if it doesn't work out get a mortgage advisor, ours was worth so much more than the small fee we have paid.
Good luck. X0 -
I applied to remortgage my house to remove my ex partner (we were mortgaged with Santander). They did affordabilty checks for me and the initially agreed, only for me to receive a letter 2 weeks later saying they would not do the remortgage. I called for an explanation and got absolutely nowhere with them. I was advised I should check my credit score (didn't seem much point), which I advised them was 999 on Experian. The call handler said I would receive a letter of explanation and I never did.
I contacted Halifax who I had a current account with and they took me on at a better rate and even said if I was considering moving they would lend me more money.
Don't feel too disheartened and good luck!0 -

Thank you been with the mortgage adviser today for our 2 hour appt and she said that he's system has accepted still needs to be signed off by a underwriter but she said she can't see any problem with our mortgage 😬0 -
What lovely news!0

That's great news that it sounds like it's all fine. I just wanted to say that I couple of weeks ago we applied for a DIP from Nationwide and were also declined (well, for the amount we wanted). For us it was due to our outgoings and them not liking the high service fee for the flats. However our mortgage broker said that she has had this problem with other people since and in her words feels like Nationwide are 'reluctant to lend' at the moment! She somehow worked some magic and we've now got a DIP and waiting on outcome for full application... good luck with it all!0

I have to post to help people out worried about getting a mortgage.
We got s mortgage in principle 17/11
Offeer accepted on our house 18/11
Mortgage application submitted 28/11
Surgery and valuation 30/11
Mortgage off out in the post today all agree valuation okay 1/12.
NatWest gave us a answer in 4 days.
Not the solicitors to do there work.
Also me and my partner have done a 5% mortgage with £6000 on credit cards to to getting married last month and only fair credit scores honestly have hope.
NatWest have been amazing so far0 -
Sounds good congrats! Considering Natwest ourselves when we start looking after christmas. We have around 45-50% deposit. But other half has no real credit history.0
