Confused about BT Sport on Sky

I've got Sky TV but BT phone and broadband. I currently pay £6 per month to BT to have BT Sport on Sky. BT have sent me an email telling me that because my contract is coming to an end, this charge will go up to £12.75 per month if I don't renew my contract.
On the moneysavingexpert page about BT Sport, it says it is £5 per month on Sky if you have BT broadband. Why am I paying £6 and why is it going up to £12.75? Anyone understand this?

To get the discounted BT Sport price you need have at least 12 months minimum term BT broadband contract left, as your broadband contract is now outside the minimum term, so you can switch broadband provider with 30 days notice, the price you pay for BTSport isn't discounted, if you want to pay the discounted price you need to renew your broadband contract, if you want the flexibility to swap broadband provider without having to consider early termination penaltys then you pay the full price for BTSport, or don't have BTSport at all.
It's common practise for company's to offer something in return for a new minimum term contract, in BT's case , BTSport is used to get you to become or recontract as a BT Broadband customer, so in your case you have 3 options, renew your broadband with BT and get BTSport discounted, don't renew BTB and pay standad price for BTSport, or cancel BTSport completely
The web site price is customers joining BT and 'new' customers are automatically within a minimum term, also the standard BTbroadband customers outside minimum term price appears to be £6.75 for BT Sport lite, not £5 (iin standard definition) £5 seems to be to upgrade to HD so £6.75 + £5 = £11.75 for HD, not £12.75, you may need to check why it's a extra £10 -
1, The MSE website is out of date
2, If your contract ends it goes up to full price. If you renew it doesn't.0
