  • I found this on their website registration.

Googling "edustore reviews" is not coming up with any reviews on the first couple of pages, it's more promotional references with their name in the text, so make of that what you will.

XMA ( from that nominet info ) is a well known distributor in the UK, normally would sell thru resellers, so unlikely to deal direct with us punters

The "contact us" page is just a web form. That's often an indication that it's a scam... or at least an individual operating the business from their bedroom.

    Seems legitimate:

Seems legit but I do not understand the 3 yrs warranty. Pl can somebody check for me, why is it so cheap at £30? Collect and return I am just wondering whether the 1st year apple warranty counts as could always drop it in the apple outlet. Guess need to wait when JL will do the 3 yrs warranty but no doubt the price will go up. Show 5 10 15 20 25

Its cheap because its just an insurance, how many people will keep it for 3 years anyway?

Cynical people may wonder if a fault will be down to user misuse?

Did you see the battery bit? Its only faulty when at less than 50% of its original capacity.

XMA is a legit company, the website is legit too.

They are reselling Apple kit and get discounts dependant on how many of each SKU they sell, there will also be some returns from schools and HE sites which are tested and marked as such.

This site is an attempt to break into the student discount market.

    Hi there folks,

I too am interested in this website, as they seem to be selling the cheapest macbook pro in the Internet!

Wanting to buy a new macbook pro for my son for his birthday but even with his student discount the Apple student price is more expensive than Amazon UK, where you don't need to be a student to buy one and the same guarantee!

However, I am a bit suspicious about this site, anyone know if it's legit or has anyone used it before?

At least their WHOIS registration has a physical address.

  • The EDUstore is a legitimate site. It's owned by a company called XMA, who sell technology products into schools and universities and are an authorised Apple reseller (this can be verified on Apple's website: locate.apple.com)

They can sell Apple products at discounted prices to teachers and to Higher Education students as XMA is part of a national Apple framework.
