    I don't see much point in catalogue accounts anyway. I can imagine some customers developing feelings they ought to spend something, just to keep the account moving along. And it might not be the best place to buy for something you do actually need.

    Stick with a credit card, just day to day stuff without getting carried away for special items, and pay in full by the due date, especially with the high interest rates on starter cards.
