Hi,
I bought a hoover from argos in August, -it just doesn't seem to do its job, it never picks up and I'm constantly checking for blockages! I can't find the receipt, but I paid on card - Do I have any rights to return it for a refund?
Many thanks

No you cannot unless it is deemed faulty by the company that made it or you get an independent company to see if the fault is inherent {you pay for that}.
You can only return for a refund within the first 30 days and that has long past.
For future ref if you do not have your receipt and pay by card your CC bill or bank statment can be used as proof.0 -
Is it under warranty? You could try contacting the manufacturer for advice. Failing that, try selling it and putting the cash towards a new one.0

Take it back to Argos with your proof of payment ie your card statement.
Tell them it is performing badly and see what they say.
They may well offer a repair, a partial refund or a new one.
Let us know how you get on, Argos are usually pretty good at returning stuff.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
It's also possible that you bought a cheap machine and it's performing as expected.
What model did you purchase?0 -
Thanks for the replies , I'll contact argos! I've just been putting up with it when actually it's not performing as it should. Its not a cheap model -it's hoover and was in the sale, granted it's not a Dyson, but then a hoovers main job is to pick up and it's not doing! I'll keep you posted on the outcome!

Are the filters clean?
What model?0
