Contactless card - London bus Return

A quick question.
I don't normally use London buses but want to make a return journey. Do i use the contact less card to enter the bus, making sure that I don't check out again. And then on the return journey check in again with the card?

I ask because somehow i made a mistake the last time i used the tube.

The bus is much easier because you don't have to tap out like with the tube - you just tap in when you get on the bus at the front. Then just get off at your stop. On the return you just tap in at the front again. It's £1.50 per journey so your return will cost you £3.00. Check you only need to use one bus each way though or it might be cheaper by tube

There isn't a 'return' ticket on London buses, it's £1.50 every time you get on a bus. Unless it's within an hour of touching in on the first bus, in which case it's free.
