Recycling cans for charity

As the fundraiser for a local charity I've just set up a can recycling program. These are more geared to aluminium drinks cans and I have a source for these. I'm also hoping to do all types of cans. Food cans etc. which are normally steel. I'm drawing a blank about recycling these and wonder if anyone has any ideas for me. I am in Doncaster, South Yorkshire if that helps. Thanks guys.

There used to be depots (were they Alcan ?) where anyone could take aluminium cans and be paid for them. These have disappeared, in our area anyway, and the local council recycling gets all the benefit.
