argos reduction

Sorry if this is i the wrong place please move to relevant forum if need b.

I purchased a 3 and 2 seater from argos the andria one and i paid £450 by debit card but then a week after delivery noticed the price had dropped £50 but i didnt bother phoning as i thought nothing could be done but recently i have purchased a montana sideboard paid again by debit card £95 including del still waiting for delivery but noticed today that it has dropped £30 in price.

So i made the call to customer services to cancel and reorder but lady on phone said they will honour this price all i need to do is ring back once it is delivered and they will refund the difference i did briefly mention my sofa and she said i should have phoned them so my question is do you think i should ring back and demand they refund or am i being damn right cheeky lol.

You don't have any sort of entitlement to the price difference, so don't demand anything. Argos only do this as it costs more money when customers send items back and re-order them.

If it's still within the 30 days, give them a call and ask nicely.

I have recently done this myself (there is a thread on here about my sofas from argos) and got a refund of the price drop difference. I actually had to wait until 30 days after they had been delivered, ring them back up and then they processed the cheque and sent it out to me.

Im not sure what the 30 day wait is for but i phoned them about a week after having them delivered and thats when they said ring back after id had them 30 days. So i dont know how long youve had them but just ring and see. I have to say i was very unsure of buying such an item from Argos but my experience of the whole process has been very pleasing.

Gosh this thread took a bit of digging. I have just been given the same advice - wait 30 days and then claim your refund. Feel a lot happier now I've seen other's given the same instruction.
