Windscreen Parking Ticket in Free Carpark

Hi All,

Our work shares a site with a Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casino. We have a gated area where our building is where I usually park. and there is a pay and display area which is sign posted as a pay and display area. There is also the Mecca/Casino parking area which has signage up stating its not for pay and display users.
I'm a member of the casino. There is signage up as you come into the car park stating that Mecca Bingo customers need to be in the Mecca to park. Nothing on the Minster Baywatch sign about the Casino,
The Casino has signs up stating "Members car park. members are invited to park their vehicles on this car park. However the company cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage arising from the use of this car park"
It's one big car park with no demarcation of which bit is which.

Today, I've parked in the Casino Car park, as i was intending to go in to work quickly and then go and speak to the Events manager about arranging a works event - and figured as a member it says i'm OK to use the car park.

So I've been out to my car and found a yellow Parking ticket on it from Minster Baywatch.

Haven't had a ticket for years (and successfully contested the previous ones based on a break down and an over running shopping trip)

Due to the signage, is it worth just nipping it in the bud with either the Casino or the Parking company?

Complain to Mecca. Lay it on the line that your works event depends largely on how he deals with this.

Read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky to guide you through dealing with this if Mecca don't help.

Don't attempt to nip it in the bud with the parking company!

Whatever you do, don't contact them at this stage. (They will see you as caught on the hook/trick you into admitting you were the driver/etc)

At this stage train your sights on the casino and the newbies faq as advised above.

Should be easy enough to appeal and win at POPLA, if the casino do not cancel it first.
