OVO energy ripping me off?

Options
Hi, i switched to ovo 18 months ago now.
My problems have been a pain in the bum.

First of all, i am on the smart all online tariff as i am disabled and need to be able to top up from home.
I can top up but i never know how much credit i have as ovo are supposed to send you emails with your balance when you top up. This has never happened.
You should also be able to see your current balance on the app. However, the app only updates once a day so if they email you saying your balance is low (doesnt tell you how much you have), you then go to the app to see how much credit you have so you know how much to top up by and it gives you the credit amount from say, 9 hours ago. So you have no idea how much credit you have or need.

Also, in October, i spent £123 just on electric and £56 on gas plus the £15 per month standing charge!
Now for two weeks of last month i was n holiday, every single appliance in my house was unplugged, including the fridge freezer. So how on Earth have a used £123?
I have topped up by £60 this week alone!
OVO just tell me that it is winter and people use more in winter and to switch supplier if i am unhappy but i have tried and nobody will take me due to the smart meters.
BG wont even give me a quote!

IS anyone else having this issue?
I just feel stuck.
I get disability benefits and i am really, really struggling to afford the amount of gas and electric i am going through. I darent put the heating on as it uses at least £5 after an hour.

I also was approved for the warm home payment last year, i never got the payment. OVO claim the issued it but i have never received it and they say it has not been used so where has it gone? They reel off my address as the one they sent it to but it did not come here.

I am at a loss as to what to do. All i know is i am struggling so badly with the cost and i am unable to switch.
What do i do please as ovo couldnt care less!

can you note actual meter readings ??
  • The Warm Home Discount is a £140 credit that is applied to your electricity account only, and is intended to be used on your bill. Most energy firms won't issue a cheque, but would apply a credit to your account or prepayment meter. Drop an e-mail to hello@ovoenergy.com and ask them when they applied your warm home discount for 2015 to your account/meter.

Your smart prepayment meters can be a little difficult for other suppliers to support, can you get changed back to normal prepaid meter?
Thank you all for helping me make my day by saving money!

Those numbers sound crazy, how many live in your house? Are you on the Variable rate or one of those hippie environmental rates?

Between 3rd Oct and 31st Oct I used £64 (£45 elec, £24 gas) total after the online discount + interest reduction. That is with the Better Energy Fixed (all online) package
