Indigo Parking - Scotland

Hello,
Quick enquiry - Mum has received a parking 'notice' of £40 from Indigo. She was parked in Ninewells Hospital on a bit of grass where people park very often because of limited spaces available. So not obstructing and there are certainly no notices that parking is not permitted there.
From previous experience with UKPC she received dozens of letters and debt collection threats. Are Indigo any different? Unlike in previous instance - she works regularly in Ninewells, would it have any repercussions in ignoring the fine?
Is it best to pay the £20 fine within next 14 days or ignore it as we were advised with UKPC? Seems ridiculous that DVLA allow them access without consent - surely it breaches some data protection act?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Ignore, is the only option to paying. There will be no external repercussions, other than vacuous debt collector junk. Internally within the hospital, your Mum is better placed than us to conjecture. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This is Dundee and firmly placed in Scotland where Parking companies can only rely on scaring motorists.
Safe to ignore, don't contact them, never name the driver
No repercussions on your mum but maybe repercussions on the NHS by employing parking cowboys.
Get ready for silly debt collector letters which mean nothing.
