Barclaycard - 1% cashback offer

I got a letter out of the blue from Barclaycard a few weeks ago. It offered 1% cashback on purchases over the next 12 months, up to a max of £80. I opted in by text, and have had my first month's cashback a few days ago.
Has anyone else had this offer? It's especially sweet as it comes off the back of a £130 interest refund due a miscalculation. I was shocked I'd ever paid that much interest to be honest.

I haven't used my card for years (should close it) but would receive and ignore offers of one sort or another every fortnight. Now I'm actively working on my finances/looking at offers I've not had anything at all.0
