event ticket insurance

hi all,
i am looking for missed event insurance, ticket master cannot help even though i bought my tickets through them,
i bought four tickets alltogether for my self and my sister to go to the Calgary stampede in Calgary Canada for july 2017, for the day time rodeo then for the night show the day after, as I bought these tickets through the Calgary stampede website I was directed to ticketmaster to purchase them, I was asked if I wanted to insure the tickets which I opted for as you never know what might happen. it wasn't till I received the email conformation and read through the policy details that I saw a sentence stating that the cover was only intended for Canadian citizens only, as it turned out I had bought my tickets through ticketmaster Canada branch not uk.
I had to phone Allianz the insurer in Canada who promptly cancelled my policy and refunded money and said to phone ticketmaster uk to re insure.
ticketmaster uk said they cannot insure for an event outside the uk, so I am left without cover on my tickets which for all four tickets have cost us around £500.
I have searched for cover but not getting anywhere.
any advice would be gratefully received. tia x

You can add this on to some travel insurance policies.
Google event cancellation travel insurance to find some companies doing this0 -
