Hi, I hope this is in the right place.

I am going to be renting my grandmothers house while she lives in a care home. As part of this I wanted to move my SKY Tv and broadband.

Set up the whole thing and due to move in December.

Today, received a letter from the Pop telecom that persuaded her to switch to them. She is elderly and had dementia. They say she needs to pay £25 as an administration fee to leave.

Then I receive and email from SKY telling me that Pop telecom are refusing to handover the line to them and they have cancelled the order.

Can pop telecom do this? And can they charge a fee like this?

I would think the best thing to do would be tell them you have just moved into the house as a new tenant and you have no knowledge of the previous occupant.
