nationwide statements & references

I recently switched my current account to Nationwide.
Is Nationwide the only bank that does not display References on its online statements?
When transferring money in from other accounts in my name, I always enter a Reference so that I can see on my statement where the money has come from.
However N/W simply shows "Bank credit Jo Bloggs", having picked up "Jo Bloggs" from the account holder name on the originating bank account. The reference is not displayed. I therefore can't see which of my other accounts it came from.
Every other current account I have, or have ever had, (quite a few!) also displays the Reference that is sent with the transfer.
Interestingly, when transferring money out of the N/W account, it allows me to enter a Reference (typically I use "JB Flex") and this shows up in every account it goes to so I can immediately identify where it came from.
N/W say this is their policy and this is how their IT systems work and they have no plans to change it.
Is this unique to them?
Do others find this irritating and a nuisance, or is it just me?

I'm not sure whether they are the only bank not to do it but they definitely don't, and it's been noted on here before. Even though my main current account is with Nationwide I don't particularly care, but if it's a significant annoyance to you then you might need to do another switch.0
