Anyone Have Experience Of Baumatic / Hoover Group Monthly Repair Plans?

Hi,
We have a broken 10 year old range cooker from Baumatic. Not even that great, but £1200 to replace or for similar style.
So I phoned Bautmatic and these were the options:
£129 - fixed fee repair, but £64.50 call out if can't repair and offer of 'discount' on new appliance (this sounds fishy to me, they have plenty of scope to just turn up and say not economical to repair and try to make a sale)
£16.99pm (£203) for 12mnths - will repair any fault for a year, no call out or parts charges, and if not economical to repair will replace free with a new appliance. (again this sounds a bit fishy because they really promote that last bit, where as I imagine they'd always patch up an old machine rather than give you a new one)
If anyone has thoughts/experiences would love to hear them.
Thanks
