It would be constructive to say who you do rate.
I realise that DIY have all kinds of doors and that most people will review/report on them quite soon after purchase, which won't reflect experience of wear and tear, longer term.
They give prices, however, so they're a good starting point for research, which is why I provided the link.
My approach is kitchen unit doors take huge wear and tear and the sensible decision is a timber door. This can be a timber frame and a laminated infill panel if budgets are tight. Ideally the doors and drawer fronts are made of solid timber. The downside is people are fickle and argue it is not fashionable. However, these thoughts are put into their minds by kitchen retailers who have a vested interest in encouraging people to replace their doors by claiming "fashion" . They also have a vested interest in knowingly selling defective, poor quality, doors knowing that they will fail after perhaps five years.
My last kitchen had solid timber doors, made in the UK by Cumbria Kitchen and Bedroom Furniture, and my current kitchen has solid timber doors from Marpatt at Leicester.
The Cumbria made doors had 25 years of family abuse and were in almost perfect condition when renewed. My current Marpatt doors are five years old and are as good as the day they were made. I suspect they will still be in perfect condition after another 20+ years wear.0
