HIGHVIEW PARKING LTD - LIVINGSTON RETAIL PARK - £90 charge- SCOTLAND

Hi there,
I understand these questions are asked regularly. I've been issued a couple of threatening letters, regarding a charge for parking here once. My question is, is it still possible to ignore these? They are quoting the Beavis case saying that they can no longer be ignored and also I was wondering how this case affects us in Scotland and whether the registered keeper argument is still valid.
Should I contact this company and if so, what should I say?

See the specific advice for Scotland in the Newbies Sticky, which is quite up to date.
Nothing has changed - so keep ignoring.0 -
Here is what to do....
(nothing)
Just continue to ignore. Then when you have finished ignoring, carry on and ignore some more.
They can only chase the driver. And unless someone phones them and put their foot in it, they don't know who that is.
That's why the advice is to ignore and make no contact whatsoever.
Even if you get ever more threatening and hystrerical letters from debt collectors - they can do nothing except make threats.0 -
I have the exact same charge from Livingston Parkway. I now have a debt collection demand of payment notice for £149.99. Was thinking of appealing it as they haven't specified which term and condition I had breached (which, in itself has breached the rules). I'm still going to ignore it! Fingers crossed they get tired in both of our cases!0

Don't write 'I had breached'...! NEVER imply who was driving. Glad you are ignoring the debt collectors and realise nothing can happen in Scotland re such charges.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As above, you are in danger of handing this to the scammers on a plate if you appeal and reveal who was driving. The safest way not to get scammed in Scotland is to ignore everything and everything you get.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
