Cheap Utility Bills

Hello! New to the forum because after watching this week's Money Saving tv program with Martin, I was surprised he did not mention the Utility Warehouse for cheaper energy bills - Any reason why? Does anyone know?
I have been a customer of Utility Warehouse since moving into rented accommodation 3 years ago and my annual Electricity and Gas bill is about £830 !!! This is much cheaper than most of the saving deals that Martin mentioned. ONE HINT - with the Utility Warehouse I have found the best way to keep the price low is simply to make sure I read our meters at end of every month without fail, I then can send my readings to them by email or mobile phone and by doing this my bills are kept even cheaper. Less than £30 per month in cheapest months - it's a WIN / WIN situation! But take care NOT to be talked into multi-package deals that include CashBack cards and mobile phone & Internet as these are where the costs can catch you out! Stick to Gas & Electrics ONLY.

Hmmm. Let's do a comparison
My Scottish Power tariff
Day Rate - 12.324p
Night Rate - 5.165p
Standing Charge - 20.549p/day
Utility Warehouse - Evergreen Variable
Day Rate - 18.401p
Night Rate - 6.615p
Standing Charge - 14.384p
My consumption is 2766kWh at night and 1654kWh by day.
Scottish Power annual cost is £417
Utility Warehouse would be £526
Not so cheap after all0
