Thats not always true, I used to rent a room for a while in my early 20's and even though the landlady was 78 we came to an understanding which ended up with me getting a significant rent reduction in return for "fun night, as she used to call it.

I wonder if that would constitute her running a house of illrepute

I assume Mojisola means "marriage". That's permanent - well it's meant to be anyway....

Which introduces another thought into the equation - suppose the girlfriend decides to stage an "accidental" pregnancy on her own? What happens then? A jointly-planned pregnancy would count as permanent I would say but a solo decision on that by the girlfriend wouldnt - but how would one prove it hadnt been a joint decision?

Male escorts obviously come in all sorts of guises...:rotfl:

Though I'm guessing there must be equivalent female ones....

That would be quite a feat since it takes two to tango.

Doesn't that require more than one illreputed person. Otherwise it would be a room of illrepute.

    I didn't mean marriage.

Some couples happily live together all their lives without getting married.

Easily done as the female is usually responsible for contraception in a relationship. That's why so many threads here are about "betrayed" boyfriends, "tricked" into a pregnancy.

    Possibly.

On a side note, a room of illrepute is an excellent idea, i'll pitch it to the missus later

What if his girlfriend murders him as he sleeps?

The secret is surely just don't get involved with awful people.

If he is that bad a judge of character, I would suggest never living with anyone, ever.
