PC is calculated taking income & savings into account so it's hard to say if £9 per week is correct or not.
Do you not have any old letters from DWP that relate to your dad's PC claim?
On GOV.UK website, it does ask for details of bonds as well as savings.
I'm not sure if the type of bond your Dad had should have been declared at the time the PC claim was completed..0 -

Hence there probably will be no repayment due to the DWP.
I think it would sort things out quicker if you could find a letter that mentions AIP.
How old was your Dad?
AIPs tended to be granted to older claimants.0 -

I've found this that may be helpful:
Link (page 2):Do I need to tell you if my circumstances change?
If you are 65 or over and get Pension Credit, you may
not have to let us know of changes to how you fund your retirement for a set period of time
- for example changes to your savings investments and occupational or personal pensions. This is called an ‘Assessed Income Period’ and can last for up to five years.
If you are over 75, there is no time limit.
If you do not have an assessed income period, you should tell us of any changes in your circumstances.
Even if you have an assessed income period, you should tell us straight away about changes other than how you are funding your retirement

Thinking on it i did have a nursing home bill that has not been paid as he wasn't there long before he died. I rang them and told them the name of the solicitor who is the executor and i gave the bill to them, Could this be what dwp are writing about?

My father died over 10 yrs ago. A month or so later I had a letter from DWP claiming they had overpaid his state pension. No mention of which week's pension was overpaid or (from memory) the actual amount overpaid.
I ignored the letter and needless to say am still waiting for a reminder. I do still wonder if DWP were trying it on.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Hi the solicitor can't distribute estate until they have been paid anything that is owed, which is fine but it will just take about another 5-6 months
