First private parking ticket - help!

I was working as a dog Walker, I got the ticket in July for not parking within a bay, I parked alongside the pavement not blocking anything, no dropped kerb and there were no double yellows. All parking bays were full. Stupidly i parked next to the sign which states the 'rules'.
I stopped for two minutes close to the dogs house so that the dog in my car was not left inside a boiling hot car, after a walk in the heat, for too long, the rear of my car has a 'dogs in transit' sticker which is visible in the photos the warden took.
There was never anything stuck to my windscreen to alert me to the ticket.
In November I received a letter from debt recovery plus stating I had been fined and a previous letter had not had any response, perhaps because I sold my car shortly after?

Anyway, by the time I received the letter it was too late to appeal, do I attempt to appeal now? On the grounds that the bays were not clearly defined, all were full and animal welfare grounds, as well as the chattel legislation. Or do I ignore and hope they won't take me to court? I cannot afford the £150 fine so the thought of court costs on top is terrifying!!!

Thanks for any help!

Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky.

    Which parking company?

Is this a private road or part of the public highway?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

imgur.com/PFFICzb Warning Sign. There were no 'marked bays' and I wouldn't have a permit

the estate is fairly big, the house i needed to access is the one next to the blue bmw - all of the bays were full when i arrived

If you search the forum board for the single word 'Premier' you will find at least a thread per week about them. You should have appealed as keeper, not saying who was driving, when you got the Notice to Keeper from them in the Summer (before the DRPlus letters).

You know what to do about DRPlus letters though, (NOTHING) that's covered in post #4 of the sticky thread 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST'.

It's not a fine and was in fact £100. Don't pay it.

    He wasn't a 'warden'.

Even if a case is lost at a small claims hearing, the typical amount to pay is...£150ish, no big deal! Not more than now (the £100 is already inflated) and no CCJ. And most people never go near a court. We haven't often seen Premier Park try:

    http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/Premier_Park.html

Court hearings of less than TEN per year. Tickets issued set to be around 60,000 per year. You do the maths! Come back if it happens and start using the forum to help yourself (i.e. read the sticky thread for NEWBIES, search for 'Premier' and search for 'Debt Recovery Plus'.

No need for us to go over it every day but come back if you get a (very rare) claim and we will assist with a robust defence.

P.S. - URGENT - now go and edit your first post so it does not imply who parked, and change your other posts to do the same.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
