Hi,
Not sure if I'm posting in the right area, this is my first thread!
Currently I am a full time 2nd year student and expecting a baby due in January. I have no intentions of giving university up as we can't really afford for me to defer for a year. As it stands I haven't worked since my second child was born which was in 2014, I started uni the following September 2015. As I understand it I am not entitled to SMP or MA as I haven't worked. We wouldn't be entitled to the sure start grant as my husband brings home more than £16,000. Student finance England and the university have not been helpful in where I stand financially.
I was wondering if anybody knows if there is another type of allowance that I could receive or if they have had dealings with Student finance regarding this sort of situation.
Many Thanks

Child benefit and child tax credits once the baby is born. Until then nothing, your husband working and earnings exclude you from means tested benefits.0
