Water main or not leak

outside my property, just in the front garden (think terrace mini garden) there's the water main and I noticed it's slightly leaking; Not flooding but I can tell the soil is a little moist.

My question is... is it mine to repair or the water company?

Is it outside your property? If it is in the garden I think that counts as on your property. Do you have a water meter? If so, is it before or after the meter. If before I would suggest it is the water company's problem, if after, it is yours and they will be charging you for the water.
  • it is outside, on that front patch of soil. There's a small metal something with the main. I suspect it leaks there - I need to check on the meter!
