Virgin Media email

An odd one guys.
For a couple of months or so, when I log in to Virgin Media Email a number of problems arise.
Whether I use Chrome, Opera, Firefox or most recently Slimjet, either it won't form the actual mail page. Or won't allow me to access my address book or folders. Or won't allow me to write emails.
I think the problems arise because of something which has happened immediately prior to this period. The following error message shows,
"attempting to load scripts from unauthenticated sources".
Generally, when I allow the unsafe sources, the mail works but the https prefix is crossed out. Not good I guess. I use Avast free, Malwarebytes, and run ccleaner free prior to most close downs.
Any ideas please?
