Buying a car from carspring
Has anyone bought a car from carspring? carspring.co.uk
They ask for the money up front (by bank transfer) before the car has been delivered (in 7 - 10 days time). They seem legit/have good references.
They let you have the car for 14 days to try and return for full refund (minus deposit and delivery charge - just £150 for the purchase I'm hoping to make) ... sems a really good deal, but is it too good?
Anyone had experience of this company? Interested to hear!
Thank you! - Sue

If it looks too good to be true... I wouldn't touch them with YOUR bargepole.0

never heard of them, but a quick google search shows they received some good reviews.

Bank transfer makes it hard to get the money back if there's something wrong.
14-day return process is going to be an odd one to run too - It either means they aren't going to register it to you until after then, or they are taking an extra owner hit, and they'd presumably either need to check it over very thoroughly to make sure its in the same condition, or again take a huge hit.
I'd be very careful.
Call me cynical, but the reviews read a bit shilly; they are all max stars, only go on about how great it was, and read like they were written by marketting departments.0 -
They let you have the car for 14 days, slight issue is that they have your money using a method that guarantees you cannot claim it back so your sitting there with your fingers crossed they dont vanish overnight, and praying they dont vanish before you even get some form of car.
Website registration shows a Non UK Corporation also?
I wouldnt give money away without having seen the car in the first place.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

How long will it be before a 'newbie' updates this thread praising carspring?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

I'd want to see the car before I handed over any money.0 -
I had a quick look at some reviews and only found 1 user that had left feedback elsewhere and it was only another single praise which maybe linked to the above company also.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

SCAM
variation on an old ebay 'escrow' scam, but a scam never the less.0
