Can anyone help, I have heard that if you are travelling to Spain you now have to fill in some kind of paperwork with a lot of your details on??
If this is indeed true does anyone know where I can get hold of this paperwork so can have it filled in ready on arrival to save time. Thanks in advance!

You are referring to Advanced Passenger Information. If your airline has not asked you to complete an online form (Ryanair and Easyjet have links on their websites if you are flying with either of them), they will scan your passport at the airport.
Nothing to worry about, and it shouldn't take any time at all xGone ... or have I?0 -
From 19 June 2007, passengers flying to Spain will need to supply to their airline details of their date of birth, nationality, and passport number before flying. This is part of EU-wide measures to improve security. Further information can be found at: http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/aviation/international/advancepassinfo
So it's just the same as when you fly to the US. You will provide this info at check in0 -
We flew to Spain earlier this month with ThomsonFly and didn't need to fill in any paperwork or on-line forms. I imagine they just scanned our passports at check-in.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Anybody know if this covers the Canary Islands as we go to Tenerife at Christmas?0

Most of the standard airlines have the scanning in place at check in, I belive {at this time} it is only the low cost carriers that require you to fill in online0 -
Does anyone here know if this is being rolled out by other countries in the EU? A friend of mine has just booked a trip to the Chistmas markets in Germany and she has been asked to provide her passport details by the travel agent. I seem to think that I have read about this somewhere and it is all part of tightening up the cross border security.0

It is being rolled out across all countries both in and outside the EU {as far as I know} the USA have had it for some time. Most EU countries are due to roll it out at the start of next year but Spain started it early and I now think most EU countries will bring it in as soon as they can. It could be that Germany are just following Spains early lead0
