ASDA branded machines are run by Barclays.
Have you asked ASDA for access to their CCTV?

    is the response in writing?

    What exactly does it say?

They should have wording to the effect of, this is our final response, you have the option to go to FOS etc etc

They called my partner following the letter we sent, followed by a text to say the complaint has now been closed. Can I only contact the FOS once I have this decision in writing then?

I might just have to do that. If the bank still won't budge I don't suppose ASDA/Barclays could be held at fault in any way? They were having nationwide issues with their cash system that day.

If I were out of pocket £50 by my bank I'd certainly risk a couple of second class stamps on trying to get it back. umming and ahhing over it probably wont help your case though, get it done IMO.
  • You'd think CCTV footage could validate your version of events. Sounds like the bank are just being lazy in investigating your claim.

The bank has done checks according to the OP.

If Barclays come back and tell Lloyds that the ATM has balanced then there's not much that can be done.
