When do insurance companies normally send out renewal notices for building and contents insurance as mine is due on 27th Nov?


I won't be renewing with them anyway as I can get it cheaper than last years premium and also cashback through Quidco.

If you are sure you are going elsewhere then make sure you have stopped any automatic renewal you may have agreed to.


Have a look at their recent reviews on the net and you may decide you have been lucky that not sending your renewal is the worst they have done to you!

They usually have to send out notice of renewal within a "reasonable" timeframe. This usually translates to at least 14 days but varies. Have you contacted them to see if they've actually sent it and it's just got lost somewhere?


Either way, as Quentin said, contact them anyway to make sure they don't automatically renew if you are not staying with them.

My car insurance send it out 14 days before with Xmas and near year come into that so i only get a few days to shop around and see how the premium compares.

I have stopped checking weeks in advance as it seems to push the prices up.
