Recommendations for 2 in 1 laptop please

Hi. I'm looking to buy my son a 2 in 1 laptop. He wants a detachable one and will use it for schoolwork and playing games such as Minecraft. I have googled but really have no idea what specs I should be looking for and need! Have seen some from £150 - £250 but wonder if this is enough to pay and i'll have to replace quite quickly?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

    The problem with the cheap 2in1s is the CPU - normally an Atom - which won't like Minecraft (or any non-web-based game.) Suggest you look at i3s with an SSD. Not cheap. Is a detachable keyboard really important?

    2 in 1's are horrible imho, they make a bad tablet and a bad laptop
