tesco Foundation Credit card-not on electoral roll-no credit history...

Went through app on line-it said 'you may' be eligable for a credit card (£250 limit-39.9%-but will pay in full-just need to build a credit file/history at this address)...asked me to choose style of card & digitally 'sign' pre-credit agreements. Said they'd 'be in touch within 5 working days'-anyone any idea or experience of Foundation card-am I likely to get it?:beer:

Why aren't you on the electoral roll? If you're not eligible to be on it then that's one thing, but if you are and haven't bothered then part of the solution is in your own hands.

Hi-not something I want to really go into on a public board but my partner has had issues with a stalker-anyone can go to the electoral offices & look at the elctoral roll if in the prescence of an electoral officer.https://www.gov.uk/electoral-register/view-electoral-register

I was quoted the same thing a few months back, then got a phone call about 5 days later to say I was declined.

I got same and a decline phone call the next day. Then again I knew it was coming so it was probably one of their easiest referrals to check that day....

Guess it's 50/50 as they could have presumably given straight decline so you still stand a chance.

The ER will be major IMO - follow the 'not eligible to vote' ER Guidance (e.g. Send proof of address to CRA and get a notice of correction on to say they've seen it)

Update-documents needed to verify identity, Lady at Tesco said it was pretty likely that if after 5 days docs requested. Not bothered if low credit limit/high APR-will help build credit rating along with new Lloyds bank a/c-will keep the thread updated!

I got the same response ("we may be able to give you a card") and then a letter asking for ID docs. Once I sent them in I received a PIN number for the card and a welcome email. Didn't get any phone calls.
