My grandson has a Samsung 'Chromebook' (no DVD slot) he needs MS Office for his school work, can anyone advise please?

You cant install it, but you can use the office web apps ..

This thread made me google for a bit, because I thought you could use the Office apps on a chromebook and I was sure I'd done it before. Interesting current situation:

"The fortunate answer is that Microsoft will allow Chrome OS owners to use the Office suite for Android on their machines. Right now some users are seeing support blocked because Microsoft is working with Google to improve the experience while the Play Store is still in beta."
Edit: probably worth clarifying, this is the free Microsoft Office, Android app suite accessible from Google Play. It's NOT the full Office suite you get on a desktop with a proper subscription/license.0
