    Morning fredandwilma.

    The Reward Tariffs released to selected customers last week are similarly priced to our Fixed 1 Year versions 20/21. They have the added reward vouchers worth £75 and £100 but don't have ongoing rewards or price alerts.

    Afternoon Malc, :)

    Somewhere back in the vaults of my posts, i said it wouldn't be long before E.on changed the current ongoing rewards scheme. Maybe i shouldn't have said it? Maybe i should be more careful about what i say in future?

    Personally, I'm not at all interested in Amazon, Argos vouchers, or whatever. Yes, i collect the current ongoing rewards, because i can. I'm sure most people would prefer to see a selection of competitive tariffs in a rising energy market. The writing was on the wall earlier this year about what would happen this winter, and i acted accordingly, because i did prefer to stay with E.on, (like other people on this site.)

    In the current changing energy market, MSE'ers will also change their game. It's no longer the switching game. It's the fixing (long term) game, for now at least. It appears no one will currently commit to offering a collective switch.

    As E.on (and other companies and comparison sites,) change their strategy, then so will i, (and other price conscious consumers.)

    For now, i remain (probably) one of the few happy E.on customers, but only because of the choice i made back in July.

    Spot on fredandwilma. The markets definitely changing and that's one of the reasons we've started the product review I've been going on about recently. Feedback from this Forum has given us valuable insights into the benefits or otherwise of previous strategies and certainly played its part in informing internal discussions about the way forward. Early days yet but a start's been made.

    I might add, i was an E.on customer prior to all the switches I've made with them in the last, what, 2 years, it just so happened E.on was winning all these 'switches.' I've been with them some considerable years now, and i am reluctant to switch from them. I never have a problem with the WHD, i rarely need to use customer services as i have a smart meter, i have my meter read once a year, and the customer service on this forum from yourself and Helena, is excellent.

    Why don't you just bring back a 2 year fixed tariff? :D

    Morning fredandwilma and many thanks for the kind comments about Helena and I. They're really appreciated.

    One and two year fixes are part of the ongoing debate as we review our products and look at our tariff range over the coming months. We've no information yet if we'll go down these lines but, as always, our website will be one of the first places where new tariffs will appear.
