Is it true that when i am 65 my pensionable age, i lose my carers allowance that i get for caring for my wife????
I struggle to see why it should finish ????

Yes, carers allowance is a work replacement benefit and as you're not expected to work past 65 you need to claim your state pension instead.
If you have a claim for pension credits you will retain an underlying carers top up within your pension credit claim.0 -

My oh and I have been together for 47 years. I wouldn't expect to be paid by the government to take care of him
