OK, so I am getting ahead of myself by posting Thursday's list when it is still Wednesday, but I have not done this so far this week and OliveOyl will jump off a bridge if she doesn't get her fix soon  so because I am at work early tomorrow, I am posting this today and those that want can put Wednesday's small steps up today and thursday's up tomorrow!!
Good Morning fellow DFW Peeps and welcome old timers and newbies alike :hello:
Welcome to Thursday !!!!!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
So, today I will:

- get something listed on ebay
- send everyone off with packed lunches
- get petrol using petrolprices.com to find cheapest
- check online banking and update spreadsheet
- not increase my debt in any way
- be positive!

Going to see a preview of the Tarantino film tomorrow evening in Edinburgh and will smuggle in a some home made nibbles so a cheap night's entertainment. Also, will take in my own lunch to work tomorrow, and cycle the commute too.
Total cost of the day? In theory, absolutely nothing.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
- Do my clicks and check that the application for my Egg card has tracked (I feel so grown up, first credit card
) - Sign up for another of the Quidco bingo offers.
- Take a packed lunch to work.
- Use my 20% VIP discount email in Dotty P's to buy a top. I think it's hilarious they class me as a VIP, I don't shop there that often, honest!
- Use money from the Guides account to buy biccies etc for the first meeting back instead of using my own and forgetting to claim it back.
- Not buy anything for myself when doing the above! *must stick to this*

Well today I will
- pack up & send a couple of e-bay parcels using companies packaging (with permission!!!!! (I had to insist on refunding the postage so that I can use it without feeling guilty, this is a compromise).
-6 more sold things awaiting payment (is that usual? are they sending me cheques?)
-I've got a lot of entertaining to do this weekend, I've switched the 2nd fridge back on
and am defrosting the half price duck, reduced/bogof prawns, and french bought cheeses that I planned in advance (sort of MSE
) and will thoroughly menu plan in order to avoid rushing out and blowing the budget.
-clicks
-bought 2 books on Amazon. One was the cheapest possible, the other will help me cook more with grains. Used £5 voucher from Ciao, clicked on the DVD offer as per Martins e-mail and paid £1.70 :rotfl: :rotfl: (must remember to cancel DVD offer
)
- Didn't buy the 1p computer connectors DS asked for(x 10), because delivery was £30.50  Moaned to boss, who will add them to the next company order at more than 1p, but less than in the shops.
-enjoyed my duty free gin, reduced price BOGOF tonic last night - could you tell? I think alcohol has a stronger effect if you have it less often.....:o0 -
