UKCPM PCN - please advise as unsure what to do

Hello,
I have read the Newbies thread, searched this forum and google for the past 5 hours and am still confused on what action I should take and would appreciate some help.
My employer has given me a permit to park in designated spaces in a car park it rents from the landlord who then uses UK CPM (who operate at no cost to the landlord but self-financing via CPNs). My employer pays the landlord for the spaces. I personally pay nothing.
I was parked in one of my employer's designated spaces but as I had just cleaned my car I forgot to pop the permit back on the windscreen. I received a ticket yesterday on my windscreen, 21 November, for "Not displaying a valid permit". So the reason is valid. Photo evidence of the car, having no permit and signs (very similar to this from another thread: oi66.tinypic.com/2w73ebt.jpg) seem valid. However, the request for a parking charge of £100, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days, seems unreasonable to me.
The newbie thread mentions that CPM are banned from DVLA data and to take no action. However, Google tells me that this ban has been lifted and as they are members of the IPC can request DVLA data.
Do I have any grounds to appeal this charge or will I lose and have to pay so no point trying?
If I should appeal, is the Newbies thread section for "THE FIRST APPEAL TO THE PPC" and letter starting "Dear {name of IPC member, only IPC members for this version!!!}" still valid for me to use? And should the letter be from "The Keeper" and provide my address?
As I received the ticket on 21 November, will the fact that the Christmas holiday period mean I may not receive letters from UKCPN on time and allow me to get off later on a technicality? Or should I not count on this?
Sorry, for you these are probably basic questions but for me it's not very clear and I want to make sure I take the appropriate action by the appropriate dates.
Thank you very much in advance for your help,
Melanie

No, another firm called UKCPS are banned. The newbie thread mentions that CPM are banned from DVLA data
Yes you have grounds, no you will not have to pay.Do I have any grounds to appeal this charge or will I lose and have to pay so no point trying?
Yes indeed, yes and yes.If I should appeal, is the Newbies thread section for "THE FIRST APPEAL TO THE PPC" and letter starting "Dear {name of IPC member, only IPC members for this version!!!}" still valid for me to use? And should the letter be from "The Keeper" and provide my address?
The Christmas post is unlikely to affect much at all. Just make sure you appeal as registered keeper (or 'keeper' if your name is not on the V5 document). As I received the ticket on 21 November, will the fact that the Christmas holiday period mean I may not receive letters from UKCPM on time and allow me to get off later on a technicality? Or should I not count on this?
And check the PCN in case it insists on appeals within 21 days instead of within 28.
This won't just go away, you'll get letters for months/years. Join the club!
