I'm sure Fulton used to do a range that, if they turned inside out, they were constructed in such a way that you could simply face them into the wind and they'd blow back the right way out again.

My current one doesn't do that, because at the time of purchase I was more concerned to have one I could open by just pressing a button, but I bought it in a branch of Stead's and saw the windproof ones on sale there at the time.

jk0 the Davek ones look fabulous! I am researching Fulton now but will keep the Davek in mind. It is for a lovely, lady who deserves the best, am just wobbling at the price. .

I cannot be bothered with an umbrella myself, just gets in the way and I'd leave it behind! I don't even bother with a hat / hood unless it's extreme weather or I am hill walking and more worried about hypothermia.

  • The is the newest umbrella it is on sale in various outlets but it is very novel but the idea makes a lot of sense.
